There are two main aspects: 1 Roughcheck checks that define the questions to ask; and 2 Roughcheck assessments where the responses to those questions are managed.
Managing Roughcheck checks are normally carried out by authors/editors/publishers. Roughcheck checks contain the knowledge and guidance for newcomers and experienced alike to help better manage and understand their projects and tasks with checklists and guidance such as background information and learning resources.
Managing Roughcheck checks is only available via the Administration interface and so requires the Manage as well as Create priveleges
Roughcheck assessments are normally created by registered users, though there is a case for allowing unregistered users such as guests and public to be able to create, edit and view an assessment.
Guest/public access is granted through a unique reference (GUID) [1] for a session found in the xreference field, this allows anonymous users to create and manage their own assessments.

---|---|
To generate sample GUID's testing the randomness of the GUID generator, choose GUID's from the administrator menu, the generated keys should be sufficiently random that it would be infeasible to guess them, if they are sequential or not sufficiently random then contact your administrator for advice. |
Anyone with View access on a Roughcheck check and Create permission can Create their own assessment.
