Roughcheck Risks/Rewards

Roughcheck Risks and Rewards are a way of organising questions.

As any generic risk or reward assessment can only be a guide, you are encouraged to assess your individual circumstances and prioritise accordingly.

Within the assessment report status there is a table of risks and rewards broken down into Positive, Unknown and Negative depending on whether a question has been answered and whether it has triggered a risk or reward.

Wording for risks and rewards is important so they should be considered carefully, in the sample data a positive risk/reward is Confirmed, an unknown risk/reward is Potential, a negative risk is Mitigated and a negative reward is Avoided.

Each Roughcheck Check is associated with one type of risk and reward profile and these are fixed after the questions has been created.

Perhaps you might prefer a simple High Medium Low or Red Amber Green for risks and rewards. It is worth noting that as these are user prioritised it is usually beneficial to add a negligible option.

To create a default high/medium/low risk profile click the New button on Components/Rough check/Risks.

Set the title to Default, the description to 'Default high medium low risk profile.' then save the record.

We now need to create the high medium and low risk details, start by selecting the Default risk then click the Details button.

To create the High risk, click the New button, then enter High as the title, High risk as the description, then click save to go back to the list of risk details for the Default risk. Repeat adding the Medium, Low and negligible risks.

Rewards are created in the same manner.

When a Roughcheck check is created it can now use the Default with High Medium and Low risks and rewards to assess the questions.

After a Roughcheck Check uses a Roughcheck risk or reward profile, the risk and reward profile cannot be deleted, and the details in the risk and reward profile cannot be deleted, their status can however be changed to unpublished.
